Make Their Day Shop

For Digi Awards a group set up a Make Their Day Shop. I could buy an ice-block and instead of paying with money I paid with a kind act to make someones day. I chose to make a coffee for Mrs Mcguinniety to pay for my ice-block.

Healthy Eating

In inquiry we have been learning about healthy eating. On Monday we got given a sheet that shows how to build a healthy meal. Here is the link to it. In a healthy lunch you should have a quarter of Fruit, Veges, Protein and Grains. Check your lunch box do you have a healthy lunch. I know that I do.

Bliss Balls

Bliss Balls   7/8/2017
Ever seen, felt and smelt something that you thought was amazing but then a plot twist happens? Well that is what happened to me in literacy today. We were making Bliss Balls. Now you are probably wondering, What the heck is a Bliss Ball? Well my friend a bliss ball is a healthy truffle like ball. It is made out of Sultanas or Raisins, Oats, Cocoa, Coconut and Coconut Oil.

The bliss balls looked like lumps of chocolate waiting to get inside my mouth. The bliss ball looked squished up like banana. The bliss ball looked rough like a rocky mountain. It looked absolutely glorious. It was to die for.

When I felt the bliss ball it felt squishy like gooey slime. The bliss ball felt sticky like glue. When the bliss ball rolled around on my hand the coconut felt rough like bark on a tree. It felt moist like a used damp towel.

The bliss ball smelt like pure dark chocolate about to be gone. The bliss ball smelt mouth watering like a nice refreshing ice-block. The coconut smelt like a glorious lamington. This ball smelt like something you’ve never smelt before. It smelt like heaven.

Then the time had come it was time to taste the bliss ball that looked, smelt and felt amazing and glorious. I bit into the bliss ball with high anticipation. Then all of a sudden (bite) the raisins are so juicy. It tasted absolutely disgusting. It was sickening like a five month old block of cheese. It was so chewy like uncooked steak. It tasted like a complete disappointment. It tasted like something people eat from the garbage. It tasted like poison, I hated it. I definitely regret it.

Number Of The Week

In maths each week Mrs Mcguinniety gives us a new number of the week. This week are number was 3298 three thousand two hundred and ninety eight. For my learning object it is a screencastify. There are nine different slides but in this screencastify I am only showing one slide which is rounding to the nearest ten and rounding to the nearest hundred. I would love it if you could comment on my blog.

Addition Maths Question

Walt: I am learning to solve addition questions by changing one number into a tidy number.
In maths I learnt to change on number into a tidy number to make it easier. First I watched a video on how to do it. Then I went to the teacher and did some practice questions. After that Miss McGuinniety gave me a work sheet to practice some questions. Thank You Miss McGuinnity for teaching me. I hope you will comment on my blog please.

Don't Subtract Add

In maths we are learning to make subtraction questions easier by changing them into adding questions. So for example if I had 76-34 I would change it into 34 + ? = 76. This is my DLO on don't subtract add.
Walt: I am learning to solve subtraction questions by Don't Subtract Add.
Success Criteria: I am able to reverse subtraction questions to make them easier.
